The National Night Out is designed to:
Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
Generate community support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts;
Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships;
Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
This free event brings local businesses, organizations/clubs, city and county officials together for an evening of fun, games, and socializing in a drug free, tobacco free, and alcohol free environment. There will be informational booths with public safety in mind, food booths, and vendor booths, etc.
The Oroville Police Department invites everyone to an evening of live music, children activities, informational booths, food vendors, raffles, and other surprises. Appearing will be the Oroville Police Department canine Office; the Fire Department canine Officer Roxie, a fire engine; and a Fire Safety House.
